I already sent those documents. Why are you asking for those again?

Mortgage approvals are all about documenting everything that is listed on your application and possibly other items the underwriter may find after reviewing your loan file.  There are standards for the requested documentation such as format, clarity of documents, and the clarity of any letters of explanations.

But I already sent you that document yesterday….

Here are some reason a processor, loan officer, or underwriter may request that you resend a document:

Bank Statements:
*You may be missing pages.  All pages are required on bank statements, even the blank ones.
*There may be a gap in the dates of your last statement and the most recent one you sent.

Paystubs, W2s, tax returns, all of other docs:
*The edge of the pages may be cut off
*The documents may be old.  The most recent documents are required.  For example, you cannot submit paystubs from last year.
*The document may be blurred/smeared.

Letter of explanation:
*Sometime you may be asked to explain a document, deposit, or a situation.  If the explanation is not clear, the underwriter may ask for the explanation to be redone.
*The easiest way to obtain these documents is by accessing them online and downloading or printing them into a pdf file.
